Satin “Shattered Backboard” Air Jordan 1 to be Releasing Soon

Everyday, the “Shattered Backboard” Air Jordan 1 becomes more of a classic and becomes more sought after. From it’s supple, top-quality leather (for a Nike sneaker) and it’s unique color way, a deadstock pair can set you back up to $925. Fans of the sneaker anticipating a re-release should be excited with this upcoming news. However, just like there always is in life, there’s a twist.

Rumors have been circulating that a satin pair of shattered backboards will be releasing real soon. According to SneakerNews, “The orange, black, and white colorway inspired by Michael Jordan’s uniform during an exhibition game in Italy is reprising its role with the help of shiny satin materials on the toe-box and the ankle collar and tumbled black leather.. Additionally, the Swoosh is embroidered similar to how the “Season of Her” series of AJ1s. That said, the Air Jordan 1 “Satin Shattered Backboard” is said to be a women’s release according to perryprophets, who leaked the photo. Additionally, the Jordan wings logo appears to be an attached piece rather than the embroidery seen on the satin iterations of the “Banned”, “Royal”, and Aleali May edition.”

So which one of you will be going one-and-half sizes up in order to rock these? Better or worse than the original? Check out the photo, let us know in the comments below and tune into The Jordan Rack for more news and product availability on our site.
