Even though they haven’t been the perennial powerhouse they’ve been known to be for the past few years now, the Georgetown Hoyas are still college basketball royalty. The school has produced an impressive amount of NBA stars such as Patrick Ewing, Allen Iverson, Alonzo Mourning, Dikembe Mutombo and current NBA players Otto Porter and Jeff Green. With the NCAA Tournament coming up, it appears that Jordan Brand will be hooking up its sponsored schools with some PE’s.
Georgetown were blessed to have the Air Jordan 3 as their base for the player exclusive. A grey/navy blue color scheme is used for the shoe, as well as a little bit of true blue on the tongue and the school logo. Elephant print is used and it seems like the uppers are made of nubuck suede. The Nike Air hangtag suggests that there will be Nike Air branding on the back heel, although it can’t be said that it’s a sure thing because of the photos available as of this writing.
There will be more photos coming up of this Georgetown PE, as well as players exclusives of other Jordan Brand-sponsored schools, such as the University of Michigan, UNC, Cal and Marquette. Check out the photos below and let us know your thoughts. Stay tuned to The Jordan Rack for news and updates.
