LeBron James going to the Los Angeles Lakers over the summer caused shockwaves around the NBA and in the sneaker world. Nike is prepping to release an abundance of Lakers-themed LeBron’s, but Nike isn’t the only company making colorways for Tinseltown’s favorite team.
Adidas, who was close to signing James to a lucrative endorsement deal right before he was drafted into the NBA into 2003, are making an NMD racer with a yellow knit upper and purple overlay on the heel and outsole. The iconic three stripes are dressed in black. The once super-hot shoe has cooled off in recent years, but Adidas is looking to bring that magic back with this color way. No exact date yet, but it seems like they’re primed to release in the month of October of 2018. What are your thoughts?
