Air Max 95 Essential Gets Chilly with Icy Soles

The Air Max 95 has been a staple of every sneakerhead’s closet since its inception in 1995. The shoe, designed by Sergio Lozano (who also designed the Nike ACG line), brought next-level comfort and design compared to its predecessors. Since then, there have been plenty of color ways and materials experimented on the model.

One such experiment used premium materials and extra padding for those who wanted to run less and just experience every day life walking with clouds on their feet. Cue in the Air Max 95 Essential, which for some sneakerheads, are essential to their everyday rotation. According to Nike.com’s official images, the familiar colorway of black and grey will be coming to the Air Max 95 essential.

The shoes uppers features a mesh specifically design for better airflow on foot and leather on the side panels to accentuate the skeleton-like anatomy that’s been such a staple to the shoe’s design. The bottom half of the shoe features some light grey accents to give the shoe an Oreo-like vibe and to top it off, icy translucent soles to make the shoe pop.

There is no official release date. However, they are expected to hit Nike.com and Nike retailers this spring for a suggested retail price of $160. What are your thoughts? As always, tune into The Jordan Rack for more news and product availability on our site.
